“Peace is the beauty of life.  It is sunshine.  It is the smile of a child, the love of a mother, the joy of a father, the togetherness of a family.  It is the advancement of man, the victory of a just cause, the triumph of truth.”  ~Menachem Begin

It’s been a nearly a year since I photographed this family for their newborn lifestyle session when they welcomed little Leo into their family. I was so happy to see them again and spend some time together.  The boys had both grown so much since I had seen them last, especially Leo.  He had gone from a teeny tiny little newborn, so an energetic, crawling little boy.  He still had the biggest eyes and a full head of beautiful hair.

Everyone met me outside when I first arrived and we spent a few minutes on the front porch before heading off on our adventure.

Next, we headed off on our adventure.  We cut through the backyard and on to a beautiful golf course.  It was a beautiful day, so the course had a steady stream of players.  We walked along the edge and down around a bend until we came to a bridge.  We stopped there for a while and posed for some photographs and Mama and Daddy sat and played with the boys and watched the small stream trickle through under the bridge.

It was so funny watching the boys play together.  Reid attempted to hold on to his brother and gave him quick kisses, but Leo was more interested in escaping.  He has just reached the age where sitting still doesn’t happen often, and the only thing that kept him contained for a moment was a small wooden crate I had brought with me.

It was nearly time to go, when Reid spotted an apple tree just across the path.  It was perfect timing, because he was also ready for a snack!  The boys headed over and Daddy picked them up.  He placed Reid high high up on his shoulders where he could pick some apples by himself – one for him, and one for his brother.  They were happy again as they munched away on the tiny tart apples.  Even Dad joined in, grabbing one for himself.

After their snack was done, Daddy loaded the boys back up in the wagon and we headed back towards home.  Reid even seemed a little sad that it was time for me to go and I couldn’t come inside to play.  But it was time to say our goodbyes again for now.

It was so great seeing you all again!  Thank you for inviting me to spend some time together to capture some precious moments of your growing boys and your family.  I hope to see you all again soon!

Children grow so quickly!  There is never a better time to schedule a session for updated photographs.  Send me a message through my Contact Me tab and I would love to discuss your session!
