Anna – cake smash session
Here is a birthday wish for you

I loved meeting Anna and her family when they came to the Details studio to celebrate her first birthday with a cake smash session. Mama had contacted me a few weeks prior to plan her session. Since Anna is a fall baby, she loved the idea of a feminine pumpkin smash. I gathered some beautiful pink and cream coloured pumpkins of various sizes, along with some florals and greenery and wooden props. Everything looked perfect!
Anna came with a smile on her face. Her Mama dressed her in a beautiful handmade dress with smocking that she had bought for her. I love the classic vintage look it had! We started with some milestone photos and she had so much fun, smiling and even playing with her favourite teddy in my crib.
Soon, it was time for cake. Mama brought a beautiful pink buttercream swirl cake that she had lovingly baked and decorated herself. She changed Anna into a birthday onesie and a glittery tutu that her grandmother made for her. It was time to dig in! It took some coaxing at first, but Anna finally stuck her little hands into the cake. She licked off some icing, examined it closely, and made some hilarious faces as she tried to figure out what this sweet treat was.
She played for a few more minutes before she began to lose interest. Mama and Daddy attempted to coax her on by breaking off little pieces of cake for her, singing songs, and picking her up when she wanted. I couldn’t help but laugh as I pointed out to Anna’s Daddy that I was sure he had just as much cake and glitter on his shirt as Anna did!
Anna loved her bath! She played with the bubbles and swished her feet around in the water. There’s nothing like a warm sudsy bubble bath to bring a big smile to a little one’s face!
Happy birthday, sweet Anna! Thank you for coming to see me to share this special time with you. It was so great meeting you and your family! I hope you have the most amazing day and a wonderful year ahead.
