Sawyer – cake smash session

I got to meet Sawyer’s family before he was even born. He was a sweet little bump in his Mama’s tummy as we headed out to a beautiful wooded area in town to capture some beautiful maternity images to commemorate her pregnancy.
A few weeks later and sweet baby Sawyer had arrived! He travelled to the Details studio with his Mama and Daddy who were so happy he was here. Sawyer was a perfect little boy, so teeny tiny, and a great little sleeper during his session.
A year went by in the blink of an eye and Sawyer was back again. But this time he wasn’t quite so little! He had grown so much, but was still as sweet as ever. His giant smile and big round eyes lit up the whole studio. We just had so much fun together during his session. Mama had requested a black and red plaid camping theme and I was so happy to put something amazing together for him. With trees and laterns, wood blocks and a tent, everything looked amazing!
The smiles just never quit through his whole session! He made good work of his cake for a while. Then we decided it was time for a bath to clean up. I got out an adorable metal wash tub and filled it up with bubbles and warm water. He was so hilarious to watch as he made the biggest splashes and giggled away. My heart nearly exploded when he pulled his feet up and curled his little toes over the lip of the tub. What a sweetheart!!
I want to wish you the happiest of first birthdays, sweet Sawyer! It was so great to see you again and I hope you have another great year!
