Marley – cake smash session

For a little girl with a fall birthday in the month of November, a pink pumpkin cake smash was the perfect theme!  Her Mama had contacted me to see if I could put something together for her and I knew exactly what I wanted to do!  Pink and cream pumpkins with touches of greenery, florals and wood accents.  It was gorgeous!  But not as gorgeous as little Marley.  She had a smile on her face from the second they walked in the studio door.  Mama changed her into my favourite lace romper and she was ready for her session!

A quick wardrobe change into a beautiful cream coloured rosette dress while I set up the delicious naked cake from my favourite baker, and Marley was ready for the best part of her session.  It only took about a half a second before she slammed her hands into the top of the cake.  She smacked it over and over, and then started pulling off little bits and licking her fingers.  She was so cute to watch!  Eventually, she even slid the whole top layer of the cake off as she pushed it back and forth.

With a sufficient mess made, it was time to clean up with a little bubble bath.  Mama put the cutest headband on her and set her down in the bubbly water.  She sloshed her feet around, splashed in the water and smiled.  We had so much fun together!

Happy birthday, sweet Marley!  Thank you for coming to see me and spending a little time together to celebrate this important milestone – your first birthday!  I wish you the most wonderful year to come.
