Lennon – first birthday milestone session

You are my sunshine,
My only sunshine.
You make me happy
when skies are gray.
You’ll never know, dear,
how much I love you.
So please don’t take
my sunshine away!

I was so happy to have little Lennon back to the studio to celebrate her first birthday!  I can’t believe it’s been a year already since she came to the studio with her family for her newborn session.  She was so teeny tiny, with a head full of dark hair.  She slept perfectly, except for that one time that she stared straight at me with a scowl on her face as if to scold me for disturbing her sleep.  She was nicknamed Lemon in the womb so it was only fitting that her parents brought some lemons in to use for her session as well.

Now a year has flown by already and Lennon was back.  She had grown SO much!  She had wonderful chubby legs, big brown eyes, still lots of hair, and always a smile on her beautiful face.  Mama picked out a beautiful white lace romper from my collection and got her all dressed up.  I never know how little ones will react during their session – a new person, a new place, flashing lights – but Lennon enjoyed every second!  She sat on my little bed, crawled around and pushed a stool around, smiling at me and her parents the entire time.  Her favourite bunny Pearl even joined in on the fun!

Part way through her session, Mama changed her into the tutu that she had worn for her birthday party.  What a perfect way to end her session!

Happy birthday, sweet Lennon!  It was so great seeing you and your family again!  I hope you have a wonderful year ahead and can’t wait to see you all again soon!
