Baby Parker – newborn session

I love when I have the opportunity to photograph both maternity and newborn sessions for a family.  I love getting to know them a little with each session and getting to see their progression from couple to family, or family adding another to their group.  I had the pleasure of meeting Chelsea and Doug first at their maternity session.  It was just starting to look like spring, but it wasn’t quite green and warm outside yet but the sun was shining and they both looked great in their sweaters and jeans.

Just a few weeks later, little Parker arrived.  His older siblings were so happy to finally meet him.  His Mama and Daddy were so happy he was safe and in their arms.  They brought him to the Details studio for his newborn session.  I took one look at him and immediately commented on how much he looked like his Daddy!  He was his little Mini-Me!  He was the sweetest little thing with beautiful pale skin and just a bit of hair.  He wasn’t a big fan of me trying to pose him naked, but fell so deeply asleep as soon as I wrapped him up safe and snug.

Once he was wrapped and cozy, Parker thoroughly enjoyed the rest of his session.  He even flashed me a few smiles, which I was SO happy that I caught on camera!  He couldn’t have looked cuter with my little bear bonnet on all snuggled up with a tiny teddy!!

Daddy had one request for his session.  He is a big baseball fan and had brought a glove and hat in for Parker’s session.  Since he was as small as a little peanut, Parker fit perfectly inside Daddy’s glove.  How adorable!!

Congratulations to the whole family on the addition of little baby Parker!  It was such an honour being a part of your journey from pregnancy through to newborn.  Thank you for choosing me to capture these precious moments for your family.  I hope to see you all again soon!!
